Diamonds and Guns is a four-headed band from Stockholm, Sweden.
A rock band formed in late 2019 through strong friendship when our musicians‘ paths brought us together. The band signed with Sound Pollution in 2023 and released their debut EP „Making Cash For Heartless Crooks.“ The debut EP received rave reviews worldwide. Since 2024 the band has a new bassist: Sebastian Rådberg, aka Bassebas, (Hollie and The Firestones, The Firestones, Zombie Space Pirates).
The mixing and drum recording was done by the legendary Tomas Skogsberg (Refused, Hellacopters, etc.) at the mixing desk. The rest of the production and recording work was done by the band themselves. Diamonds and Guns also released 3 songs between 2020 and 2022 in the form of: 2020, „The Lonesome Man“ 2021, „Cheers to us“ 2022, „Singing Songs From Hell“
„Degenerate Nonsense“ is the upcoming second EP from the band which will be released in the 6th of March. Like the debut, „Making Cash For Heartless Crooks“, the music is characterized by a flirtatious and danceable rawness.
In collaboration with producer Tom Van Heesch, the band has found where their hearts at and the sound that is Diamonds and Guns. „Degenerate Nonsense“ EP has a more mature tone and jargon than the „Making Cash For Heartless Crooks“ EP, delivering drama, love, hard rock, and straightforwardness – with a twinkle in the eye.
Tom Van Heesch is known for productions with, among others, Rammstein, Backyard Babies, Entombed AD, Michael Monroe, etc.
The drums were recorded at the Kapsyl Studio together with Jugglo. String instruments and vocals were recorded at Momento Studio. Piano and keys were recorded by Mats Nilsson, formerly of KSMB, in his own studio. Other overdubs were recorded in the band’s own studio.
The title of the EP says a lot about what the band has been through during the last year and the journey of the recordings of the EP.
„Degenerate Nonsense“ contains 6 songs, one music video, one lyric videos and one live/behind the scene video. The band has also made a simpler „Studio Diary/The making of…“ series of the entire studio process.
